Writing for healing
Right now, we are facing strong feelings and reactions in our country. It's important for us to let go of our emotions so that we can focus on what brings us joy.
I use curandera writing to name our barriers and write pass them.
Here is a short description that I will be presenting on.
This workshop blends mindfulness and curandera storytelling to create a space for healing and reflection. Guided by Araceli Esparza’s Skeleton Hand & Monkey Mind curriculum, participants will quiet the critical voice through grounding practices and writing prompts rooted in memory and resilience. The session centers survivors, working-class women, and those often excluded from traditional wellness spaces. Together, we’ll build a circle of care that supports racial justice, advocacy, and personal healing.
Let's dig in our landscape and use it as a metaphor to give us a location, knowing where we want to go.
The conference is sold out, but I wanted to write and acknowledge this will be my fourth conference that I will be presenting. It's an honor!
